Why Live in Brook?
There is bronze age evidence that Brook is a truly ancient place. Now it has a much cherished and used church with its study Norman tower, and close to that a remarkable collection of buildings that are the Brook Museum, housing a nationally important collection of agricultural implements from the era of hand carts and horse drawn machinery. The Museum’s oast celebrates the important role that hop growing once had in the area; research on hop varieties and future improvements for drought resistance continues at the University of Kent in Canterbury.
Today The Street that unites the village also helps to maintain a strong community with the help of an energetic parish council, in this small but vibrant hideaway.
