Nestled on the ancient saxon shore line that is now separated from the sea by the rich agricultural land of Romney marsh, Bonnington was once a smugglers liar and part of the territory of a notorious group who watched and signalled from the Aldington Ridge above.

Now it looks over the royal military canal to the sheep and water channels of the marsh and beyond to the English Channel. St Rumwold’s church sits alongside the canal.

Why Live in Bonnington?

Bonnington is a quiet and special place in the midst of agriculture, but only a short distance via Aldington (1 mile), with its school and community facilities – Aldington and Bonnington are part of the same parish council area. It is just 7 miles to Ashford and its shops, schools, jobs and high speed rail connections to London (38 minutes), and the M20 motorway.
