This week we move on to the streets ranked 80th through to 76th by the total number of homes sold between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025.

At number 80 is Sandy Lane. One of the most quintessentially English street names, Sandy Lane often reflects rural or semi rural origins, typically describing the natural ground conditions of the original route. Many of these lanes were once simple tracks connecting villages, later evolving into desirable residential locations. Over the period, the average price paid on Sandy Lane was £500,516 which places it in the top 10 most valuable streets in this countdown.

Coming in at number 79 is Cromwell Road. Named after Oliver Cromwell, one of the most significant figures in British political history, this name became popular during the nineteenth century as towns expanded and looked to honour national figures. Cromwell Roads are often found in established residential areas with strong historical roots. The average price paid on Cromwell Road was £436,262.

At number 78 sits Silvercroft Street. A more modern sounding name, Silvercroft typically reflects late twentieth century or early twenty first century development, where developers combined aspirational words to create a sense of exclusivity and calm. These streets are often found on newer estates designed with family living in mind. Homes on Silvercroft Street recorded an average price of £356,513.

Moving to number 77 is School Road. As the name suggests, these roads were where the first school of the village (or town) was built. The average price paid on School Road was £377,113.

Completing this week’s selection at number 76 is Marlborough Road. Named after the Duke of Marlborough, one of Britain’s most celebrated military figures, this name became widespread during periods of Victorian and Edwardian expansion. It often carries a sense of heritage and stature, with many Marlborough Roads located in well established residential neighbourhoods. The average price paid on Marlborough Road over the three year period was £381,502.
