Why? Because it is far more important that you have confidence in the advice we provide rather than directing you to what are often very poor performing companies based on the other side of the country, purely for financial gain.
We have lost count of the amount of times a purchaser or seller tells us that they should have taken our advice on the solicitor rather than listening to the mortgage broker or being coerced by an agent to use their "recommended" firms. The stress and often failure of sale this has caused is impossible to measure, all in the name of lining the pockets of the agent.
Our vendors can always feel confident we have recommended the best buyer for them as there is no benefit to us financially to choose one person over another. Similalry, purchasers can rest assured their offer will be treated fairly for the same reason.
We are pleased to see the recent Panorama documentary highlighting what happens in some agencies with their likley being more to come.
